With gyms presently closed and home schooling open, it may feel like there is a lot out of your control when it comes to building a great level of fitness.
However there are a number of things you can manage, wherever you are:
- Nutrition: Can you cook some extra veggies for later when you’re getting the chance to cook? How about clearing some of your trigger foods from the kitchen? Or having plenty of fruits/nuts/vegetables available when you’re looking for a snack?
- Sleep: So important. For everything from your energy levels, to your immune system, your memory and overall wellness. Can you go to bed 5 minutes earlier for a month and then increase it next month? It all adds up!
- Exercise: How about getting out for a walk, do you have enough room to do some burpees in your house, can you jump onto any one of a number of online classes currently available? All you need to do is make a decision and put some time into it to take control of your exercise regime.
- Hydration: Sometimes we think that drinking water is such a low lying fruit that people over look how useful drinking enough water every day is. Can you get a steel water bottle and take it with you for the day so that you can easily hydrate as you go along?
