Change the cause and you’ll change the effect.
There’s nowhere the above is more true than in people’s health.

Looking at some of the stats on the health of the western world however and it would seem that people could look after their “causes” a good bit better.

Below are an example of 10 potential health touch points in an average/slightly unhealthy persons day:
1. Wake up to a blaring alarm. Pick up phone and look at news/emails.
2. Crawl out of bed, have a coffee. Either skip breakfast or wolf down some cereal.
3. Rush to work, getting stuck in traffic and thinking how much they don’t like work.
4. Have a bar of chocolate/croissant on their coffee break.
5. Murder a carvery or similar option at lunch. Read the daily mail for the rest of their lunch before battling to stay awake for the afternoon.
6. Hit the off licence on the way home.
7. Eat dinner while scrolling through the phone.
8. Hit the couch and watch Eastenders.
9. Doom scroll on phone before heading for bed. Struggle to sleep.

Not everyone will do the above in exactly the same way every day, but below are examples of how each of them could be turned around:
1. Use a sunrise alarm. Do some breathing exercises to ease you into the day.
2. Hydrate before reaching for coffee. Eat real foods like eggs and avocado for breakfast.
3. Give yourself some extra time for the commute and if you hate your job, think of constructive ways to change it over time.
4. Eat a lean protein source/some fruit or veg on the coffee break.
5. Have a salad for lunch. If going for a more “exciting” option, stop eating when comfortably full. Get out for a walk.
6. Go to the gym for a post workout workout.
7. Turn off your phone when eating and give yourself the chance to tune into your meal.
8. Get some fresh air and at the very least don’t watch Eastenders.
9. Switch off your phone and read a book.

It may not be realistic to immediately hit a 10/10 on the above, starting to think about and implementing changes to some of your daily inputs could have a massively positive impact for you.

Even taking you from exhausted, stressed and feeling badly out of shape to fit, strong and energetic over time.
