There might be a perception of Personal Trainers that we get up in the morning craving chicken and broccoli and never want to drink anything stronger than water.
This definitely isn’t the case.
We just know a bit more about stacking the odds in our favour when it comes to health choices.
A personal example for me is tea cakes. If they are in the vicinity I’ll eat them (broke a PR for boxes inhaled over Christmas😮).
So I don’t buy them – unless it’s Christmas!
But everyone is different. Becoming aware of YOUR triggers/cues for certain behaviours is key to making the changes that will help you progress throughout 2022 and beyond.
Here’s some common tips that we use with members:
– Kitchen Clear out: If it’s in the kitchen it will be eaten, so fill it up with quality proteins and plenty of fruit and veg.
– Have your training gear ready: Especially if you’re training first thing in the morning!
– Have snacks ready: Instead of letting yourself get overly hungry and reaching for anything that’s in front of you, have your snacks pre prepped and ready throughout your working day.
– Bring your bottle: Despite it being such an easy thing to do, so many people don’t hydrate properly. Have your water bottle with you throughout the day, instead of having to go and look for water when your thirsty (and already dehydrated).
Ultimately you’ll get the results you’re looking for if you train yourself to consistently do the things you need to.
Becoming aware and starting to stack the odds in your favour is the first step.
And if you’d like help doing this, send us a DM, we will let you know how we work with our Semi Private members to get the results they want…
